First "Impact for Breakfast" held in Baku

On July 15, First "Impact for Breakfast" was held within the EU-funded "Collaborate for Impact" program implemented by the European Venture Philanthropy Association. The meeting was organized by Education HUB and with the financial support of PASHA Bank at the Baku Marriott Boulevard hotel.

The main purpose of the meeting is the current state of the Social Entrepreneurship ecosystem in Azerbaijan, the creation of social investment funds, and increasing networking among interested parties operating in the country in this field.

Gulnara Ismailova, the Program Manager of Education HUB, who started the event with an opening speech, welcomed the participants, and then, during her speech, informed about the current state of the Social Entrepreneurship ecosystem in Azerbaijan, problems, and the best ways to solve them.

Ewa Konczal, CEE Program Manager of the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA) gave information about the concept of Social Entrepreneurship and Impact funds started between Eastern Partnership countries and shared good examples from other European countries. Andreja Rosandic, Stakeholder Manager of the EVPA, informed about the "Impact for Breakfast" concept during her speech.

Social Entrepreneur - Gwendolyn Burchell, who participated in the "Impact week" in Vienna within "Collaborate for Impact" program, Fidan Tofidi, Corporate Stakeholders Engagement Division Head, and Jeyhun Atayev, Head of Marketing and Stakeholders Engagement Department, shared their impressions and experiences during their speeches.

At the end of the event, the participants shared their suggestions for the next "Impact for Breakfast" meeting.
